Shards

Tears rain and blood thinly layer my skin…..
I couldn’t hold back any longer.
Agony ripped through my heart…
Shredding and ripping my soul into millions of
Pieces.
Shards of me.
Broken on the rocky trail
Beneath my feet.
I try to run away from it
But the tiny fragments of my pain only
Made their way deeper into my flesh.
I screamed.
I yelled and
Begged for mercy.
There was no escape.
